This Privacy Policy describes how Next Level Basketball ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the Red, White & Ball basketball tournament (the "Event") and the registration website at https://redwhiteandball.com (the "Site"). This Site is operated by Next Level Basketball, with platform and technical services provided by Pearl City Media, LLC.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Registrant information: name, email address, phone number, and your relationship to the players you are registering.
• Player information: name, date of birth, grade, shirt size, optional medical information, and emergency contacts.
• Parent/guardian information: contact and identity information for the adult registering minors.
• Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers — we only store the last four digits and the transaction reference.
• Signed waivers: the waivers you sign as part of registration, including signing party, timestamp, and audit trail.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device and browser information (e.g., IP address, user agent, referring URL).
• Server logs for security and reliability.
• Site usage information and cookies (see Section 7).

2.3 Information Collected At the Event

• Photographs, video, audio recordings, and livestream footage captured at the Event per the Media Release in the registration packet.

3. How We Use Information

• Process registrations and payments.
• Communicate with registrants and parents/guardians about the Event (logistics, schedule changes, weather, safety).
• Coordinate medical response in the event of an injury or emergency.
• Verify the identity of waiver signers and maintain audit records.
• Operate, secure, and improve the Site.
• Promote the Event consistent with the Media Release.
• Acknowledge sponsors per their sponsorship agreement.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Children's Privacy

The Site is directed to parents, guardians, and adult registrants — not to children. We collect information about minors only from adults who represent they have the authority to provide it on a minor's behalf.

We do not use minor information for advertising, profiling, or any sale of personal information. If you believe we have collected information directly from a child under 13, please contact us at info@redwhiteandball.com and we will investigate promptly.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers that help us run the Event and the Site, including Pearl City Media (platform), Stripe (payments), DocuSeal (waivers), Flowroute (telephony/SMS), and email delivery providers.
• Sponsors and media consistent with the Media Release. Sponsor and media access is limited to player names and images — never parent contact information.
• Emergency responders if needed for medical or safety response.
• Legal and safety disclosures as required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Business transitions in the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Event.

6. Payment Information

All card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. See Stripe's privacy notice for details on how Stripe handles payment data.

7. Cookies

• Essential cookies required to operate the Site (e.g., session and registration cart cookies).
• Analytics cookies we use in a limited fashion to understand Site usage.
• Security cookies used for abuse prevention.

We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or to sell your data.

8. SMS Text Messaging

• SMS messages are sent on an opt-in only basis as part of registration.
• You can opt out anytime by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.
• Message and data rates may apply. Frequency is approximately 4–10 messages per registered player around event time.
• We do not share mobile opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.

9. Email

Transactional emails (registration confirmation, waiver receipt, schedule updates) are sent to the address provided. Promotional emails include a one-click unsubscribe.

10. Data Retention

• Signed waivers: retained for 21 years following the Event (consistent with the Iowa statute of limitations for minor claims).
• Payment records: retained as required by tax and audit obligations.
• Site logs: approximately 90 days.
• SMS records: retained through your subscription and for a reasonable period after opt-out for compliance purposes.

11. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. In the event of a data breach affecting Iowa residents, we will provide notification consistent with Iowa Code 715C.

12. Your Choices

• Request access to or correction of your personal information.
• Withdraw optional consents (e.g., media release where allowed).
• Opt out of SMS by replying STOP.
• Unsubscribe from promotional email at any time.
• Request deletion of personal information, subject to retention requirements above.

13. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (sponsors, payment processors, social media). Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

14. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to registrants at the email address on file.
